The MPQ3322-AEC1 is a 24-channel LED driver with a 24V voltage rating and maximum 100mA current sources. It is designed to drive LED backlighting, RGB lighting, and interior ambient lighting in automotive LCD panels and lamps.

The MPQ3322-AEC1 employs low headroom to regulate LED current and provides voltage feedback for the previous power stage to optimize the output voltage (V_OUT) for LED strings. This helps achieve higher system efficiency.

The MPQ3322-AEC1 supports independent 12-bit pulse-width modulation (PWM) and 6-bit analog dimming for each channel via the based-controller area network (CAN) differential interface. The resistor on the ISET pin configures the maximum LED current amplitude.

Robust protections are provided to guarantee safe operation of the device. These protection modes include LED open protection, LED short protection (configurable threshold via the internal register), and over-temperature protection (OTP). All these fault statuses can be read through the CAN interface. In addition, the failsafe function ensures that the MPQ3322-AEC1 remains operating in a preset state once the communication information is lost.

The FF pin and single lamp mode (SLM) support single-IC and multi-IC applications for two fault statuses. In the event of a failure, the IC either only turns off the failed LED string or shuts down all channels if one channel fails.

The MPQ3322-AEC1 is available in a QFN-40 (6mmx6mm) package, and is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 0.
